Missouri Governor Petitioned to Protect Saints

In Kirtland, Ohio, JS urged Missouri high council to sign petition to Missouri governor Daniel Dunklin to request federal protection for Latter-day Saints on their Jackson County, Missouri, properties; declared 11 September 1836 as “the appointed time for the redemption of Zion.”
