Br. Samuel Brown came forward and confessed the charges. Also gave up his licenses of Elder and High Priest Elder’s license dated at Pensylvania February 21. 1833. and by the hand of s. And his license for high priest dated at Hamilton Co. Ohio, June 15. 1833. Given by . Therefore br. Brown stands as a high private member in this Church;— all this by the voice of the Counsellors.

After this was done it was necessary for to be absent therefore was appointed in his place.
After which proceeded and nominated for a Clerk. Voted and carried unanimous by uplifted hands.
After which a charge against the Hulet branch conconcerning certain gifts handed in for consideration by Nathan West. Considered and laid over for next sitting. And also a request by & , all of which laid over for our next.
Adjourned until next Wednesday at 10. O’clock at this place.

Opened in prayer as usual.
Resolved that act in the place of & in the place of , Pro. tem.
After which read a letter of reccommend which was to be given to the four brethren appointed at our last council.
Br. then arose and addressed the four brethren to visit the Churches, as follows: saying, you are not sent to preach the gospel to the world for the world will not bear it in this place But to instruct the disciples in things pertaining to their everlasting happiness As well as temporal peace & prosperity &c. [p. 57]
