To the Presidency & High Council of Zion  Will the High Council allow me for my time &  expence for serving as a committee for the purpose  of building a to the Lord.
I calculate the time one hundred and twenty  days for which I think I ought to have one dollar  per day for time and expence.
Dec. 23rd 1837.—

Two were selected on each side to speak  after which spoke.
Decided that the brethren   and be allowed  one dollar per day and be found while jou[r]neying  and while at home and in the employment of  the committee buisness one dollar <per day> and find  themselves. This to be laid before the  and his Councillors Adjourned

At a social meeting held at the house of . Two of the apostles and   also High Councellors , and   were present.
We took into consideration the proceeding  of the Presidents in this <place> viz   and  and we being grieved at their doings after  various discussions appointed a committee to  visit them and enquire into their feelings and  determinations viz  and [p. 94]
