The of the City of will pay General Twelve Dollars, being the Sum allowed him by the City Council, upon the 22nd day of January last, for the use of the Room & Fuel & Candles for twelve Days.
This order to be Signed by the Mayor before Presentation for Payment.—
At the 22 January 1842 Nauvoo City Council meeting, it was adopted that Hyrum Smith be allowed a dollar a day for the use of his room and candles, after which this order was written.
