Culver, Esther Peck

Biography

10 July 1766–11 Oct. 1836. Born at Attleboro, Bristol Co., Massachusetts. Daughter of Joseph Peck and Elizabeth Read. Married Aaron Culver. Resided at Wardsboro, Windham Co., Vermont, 1800; at Guilford, Windham Co., 1810; and at Colesville, Broome Co., New York, 1830. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Oliver Cowdery, 28 June 1830, at Colesville. Sold hundred-acre farm and moved with Colesville branch to Thompson, Geauga Co., Ohio, May 1831, and to Kaw Township, Jackson Co., Missouri, July 1831. Husband died, 1831. Later resided with nephew Newel Knight’s family. Died at home of Newel Knight, Turnham’s Landing (later in Avondale), Clay Co., Missouri.
