Biography

2 May 1808–3 May 1894. Wainwright, wheelwright, farmer. Born at Manheim, Herkimer Co., New York. Son of James Webb and Betsy Faville (Gaville). Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, by 1836. Married to Catherine Noramore Wilcox by JS, 14 Jan. 1836, at Kirtland. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by F. Weight, Apr. 1839. Lived in Adams Co., Illinois, early 1840s. Arrived in Salt Lake Valley, 1848. Ordained a seventy by Chancy Webb, Apr. 1848. Moved to Fillmore, Millard Co., Utah Territory, Oct. 1851. Settled on Pioneer Creek (later in Holden), Millard Co., Utah Territory, fall 1855. Moved to Meadow, Millard Co., 1858; to Fillmore, Millard Co., by June 1860; to Petersburg (later near Kanosh), Millard Co., by June 1870; and to Escalante, Iron Co., Utah Territory, by June 1880. Died at Coyote (later Antimony), Garfield Co., Utah Territory.
