JS Arrested at Dixon

23 June 1843

JS arrested by Illinois constable Harmon T. Wilson on Missouri treason charge and transferred to custody of Missouri sheriff Joseph H. Reynolds for extradition, near Dixon, Illinois. Lee County, Illinois, Circuit Court clerk issued writ of habeas corpus for JS.
