This Indenture, made and entered into, This third day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty Two between Joseph Smith, as sole Trustee in Trust, for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints, of the County of , and State of of the First part, and Elias Harmer, of the County of of and of aforesaid, of the Second part, Witnesseth that the said Joseph Smith, party of the First part, for and in consideration of the sum of Nine hundred dollars to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said Elias Harmer, party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of Land, situate and being in the County of in the State of known and described as follows, to wit. Lot No Two (2) in Block one hundred and Twenty three (123) of the City of . Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. To Have and To Hold [p. 278] The above described premises unto the said Elias Harmer party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Joseph Smith, party of the First part, his assigns and successors in office, the aforesaid premises, unto the said Elias Harmer party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all every person whomsoever do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
