THIS INDENTURE MADE AND ENTERED INTO, This twenty third day of November in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty-three between Joseph Smith, as sole Trustee in Trust, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, of the county of , and State of of the FIRST part, and Sally Murdock—— of the county of and aforesaid, of the SECOND part, Witnesseth, that the said Joseph Smith, party of the FIRST part, for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred—— dollars, to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said Sally Murdock—— party of the SECOND part, his her heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of in the State of known and described as follows, to wit: commencing at the South East corner of the North West quarter of Section No nine Township six, North of Range Eight, West of the fourth principal Meridian and running thence North Eighty one Rods, thence East <​West​> forty nine & one third rods, thence South Eighty one Rods, thence <​East​> forty nine & one third rods to place of beginning containing twenty five acres more or less. Also commencing forty seven Rods North of the South East corner of Section Eight, Township & Range aforesaid running thence North forty seven Rods, thence West thirty four Rods, thence South forty seven Rods, thence East thirty four Rods to the place of beginning containing Ten acres more or less. together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining.
TO HAVE and TO HOLD The above described premises unto the said Sally Murdock party of the SECOND part, his her heirs and assigns forever. And the said Joseph Smith, party of the FIRST part, his assigns and successors in office, the aforesaid premises, unto the said Sally Murdock—— party of the SECOND part, his her heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, The said Joseph Smith, party of the FIRST part has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
