The people of the state of to the of the jail of said greeting Whereas Andrew Colton late of the has been arrested on the oath of A[ndrew] J. Higbee for the crime of perjury and has been examined by me one of the Justices of the peace in and for said on such charge and required to give bail in the sum of two hundred dollars for his appearance before the circuit cort of said on the first day of the next term thereof which requisition he has failed to comply with therefore in the name of the people of the state of I command you to receive the said Andrew Colton into your custody in the jail of the aforesaid there to remain until he be discharged by due course of law Given under my hand and seal this 11th day of April A. D. 1844
