Married Julia Ellis Hills, 12 Jan. 1801, at Grafton, Worcester Co. Moved to Vermont and to Fredonia, Pomfret Township, Chautauque Co., New York, 1813. Opposed baptism of family into LDS church. Located with a daughter at Mentor, Geauga Co., Ohio, 1835. Lived with Latter-day Saints at Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois. Died at Nauvoo.
