<23> Tuesday 23. returned to , & , wrote the following history of the “Mission to , or the first foreign Mission of the Latter Day Sants (M.S. 289. &c to the 296)
<25> 25, 26, & 27. Elders & were detained at the post office, as witnesses in the case of Joseph Holloway. the, Queen, vs. Joseph Holloway for detain[in]g Letters.
<29> Monday 29. I attended city council & moved that the city Surveyer be ordered to survey & plot the same so as to correspond with the City Plat of & make out a map to be recorded,— which, was carried by the council Much was said in council about fining the owners of dogs, & I contended that it was right to fine individuals who would keep unruly dogs to worry cattle, sheep, & even or the citizens, and an ordinance was passed to that effect.
Elders & were at packing Books of Mormon, to pay off those who had loaned them money to carry forwad the printing, & binding.
