Also spelled Villenova.1 Located in southwest corner of state.2 Settled by 1810.3 Taken from Hanover Township, Jan. 1823.4 Population in 1830 about 1,100; in 1835 about 1,500; and in 1840 about 1,700.5 While recruiting Camp of Israel volunteers, JS and Parley P. Pratt stayed in township, 4–6 Mar. 1834.6
