Monday morning Feb 20 about 70 of the brethren came together according to previous notice. and drawed and sawed & chopped. and split. & moved and piled a large lot of wood <for the presidnt>. and the day was spent by them in much pleasantry & good humor & feeling. a white oak log 5 ft. 4 inches diameter was <This tree was cut. & drawed by Joseph> cut through with a cross cut saw in 4½ minutes by & bro Tidwell from 9. to 11. reciting in German— from 11. to 12 [p.
