Octr. 18th. 1837
The High Council and Presidents of the different  quorums met in the according to adjour rnment, President opened the meeting  by prayer, and after a leangthy discussion of the  existing evils, and concluded that it <was> time to take  up the work of reform, unanimously agreed to  adjourn to meet again in the on  Monday next at early candle-liting, and envite  the different quorums to meet us, and commence  the work of reform, by pruning the vine of God  in , and to follow up the work night  after night untill it should be thought best to  stay the hands, then dismissed, and dispersed.

Sunday Oct 22nd 1837 In an assembly of  the Saints in the 2 Oclock P.M.  Pres. Presided; The subject  of our young brotheren & Sisters mingling  themselves with the world; (as some of them  had so done;) was then enquired into;  It appeared that the following individua ls had been guilty of meeting with the  world on Thursday last and some of  them guilty of dancing with the world  &c. It was then requested that the should proceed to call the names  of those individuals above mentioned  which were as follows

and Alexander Brim
and
Da[n]iel Jackson & wife Daniel Cahoon
