Nov. 5th 2 Ocl. P.M. <1837>
A Charge was read against three individuals for attending Ball in the week prior at Mr. Rices, Namely Truman Higaby Harriet Higgly & Lydia Fisher. Charge Brought by Jonathan Fisher: The of the high Council read the dessisions of their two last meetings, The doings of the council relative to offenders were sanctioned by the church, & after administering the sacrament, The Church was called upon to Know if they would sanction the appointment of the Presidents in authorizing Brother Richards & Brother [Reuben] Hadlock, to transact the business of the Church <in> procuring means to translate &. print those records taken from the chatacombs of Egypt, now in the temple, the vote was full & prompt to confirm the same.

The High-Council met according to adjournme<nt> at Brother and then repaired to the Temple all present but No. 1 and 2 then proceeded to converse upon the right of the Presidents of 70ties having power to try cases of themselves it was thought they had &c.
