not unto eternal damnation, for they cannot  be redeemed from their spiritual fall, because  they repent not, for they will love darkness  rather than light, and their deeds are evil, and  they receive their wages of whom they list to  obey.
13 But behold I say unto you, that little  children are redeemed from the foundation of  the world, through mine Only begotten:  Wherefore they cannot sin, for power is not  given unto satan to tempt little children, until  they begin to become accountable before me;  for it is given unto them even as I will, accord ing to mine own pleasure, that great things  may be required at the hand of their fathers.
14 And again I say unto you, that whoso  having knowledge, have I not commanded to  repent? and he that hath no understanding, it  remaineth in me to do according as it is writ ten. And now, I declare no more unto you at  this time. Amen.

Revelation to Joseph Smith, jr. and , December, 1830.
 
1 Listen to the voice of the Lord your God,  even Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the  end, whose course is one eternal round, the  same to-day as yesterday and forever. I am  Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was cruci fied for the sins of the world, even as many as  will believe on my name, that they may be [p. 158]
