80 A Revelation Received in Zion Apr 30, 1832
Verily thus saith the Lord in adition to the laws of the Church concerning women & children who belong if to the Church who have lost their husbands or fathers women have claim on their husbands untill they are taken & if they are not found transgressors they remain upon their inheritances all children have claim upon their parents untill they are of age & after that they have claim upon the Church or in other words the Lords storehouse for inheritances.

81 A Revelation Recd. in December 4, 1831 the Aappointment of Bishop his duty &c
Hearken & listen to the voice of the Lord O ye who have [ca]lled yourselves together who are the High Priests of the <my> Church [to who]m the Kingdom & Power have been given for verily thus saith the Lord it is expedient in me for a Bishop to be appointed unto you or of you unto the Church in this part of the Lords vinyard & verily in this thing ye have done wisely for it is required of the Lord at the hand of every Stewart to render an account of his Stewartship both in time & in eternity for he who is faithful & wise in time is accounted worthy to inherit the mansions prepared for them of my father verily I say unto you the Elders of the Church in this part of my Vineyard shall render an account of their stewartship unto the Bishop which shall be appointed unto me of me in this part of my vineyard these things shall be had on record to be handed over unto the in Zion & the duty of the Bishop shall be be made known by the commandments which have been given & by the voice of the conferences & now I say unto [y]ou my Servant is the man () is the man who [s]hall be appointed & ordained unto this power this is the will of [t]he Lord your God your redeemer even so Amen— [p. 132]
