Commission Sent to Nauvoo about Saints’ Offer to Leave Illinois

23 September 1845

Large public meeting of citizens of Quincy, Illinois, resolved that peace could be restored only if Latter-day Saints left state and sent commission to Nauvoo, Illinois, to confer with church leaders about their offer to leave state in the spring.
