Action of debt on due bill drawn by said payable to for $1,85 dated March 9th, 1837, payable when drawn. Summons issued to const. July 15th, 1837, returnable on the 20th inst. at 1 o’clock P.M. Const. returned summons July 17th, endorsed “personally served July 17”[.] July 20th, 1837, the defendant not appearing the interest was calculated and judgment rendered against the defendant for the sum of one dollar and eighty seven cents debt and costs of suit $0[.]40
