Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and ordained an elder. Left church and joined briefly with the Methodists. Returned to church, 1835. Practiced medicine at Mantua, Portage Co., 1843–1864. Married Martha Wilmot, 17 Jan. 1850, at Portage Co. Served in Ohio state legislature, 1859–1861. Moved to Hiram Center, Portage Co., 1864, and continued to practice medicine. Died at Portage Co.
