20 Oct. 1809–ca. 1849. Born at Spartanburg, Spartanburg Co., South Carolina. Son of John Brandon and Diana Scott. Moved to Henry Co., Tennessee, 1826. Married Keziah Fowler, 1828. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Wilford Woodruff, 25 Mar. 1835, in Henry Co. Ordained an elder, 1838. Moved to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, May 1842. Member of Nauvoo Legion. Ordained a seventy, 12 Apr. 1843. Served missions to Tennessee, 1843, and to Alabama, 1844. Moved to Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, by Oct. 1848. Died in or near Pottawattamie Co.
