Summary

Township and post office located about 40 miles southwest of Pittsburgh. Stopping point on National Road. Population in 1850 about 275. John McKee wrote to JS from township regarding increasing number of people in region who were interested in church and desired to move to Nauvoo, Illinois, 7 Mar. 1843.
