Summary
Also known as Comanchería. Though ill defined, covered broad swath of southwestern plains of North America and included territory claimed by U.S., Republic of Texas, and portions of northern Mexico (now in U.S.). Council of Fifty contemplated establishing temporary settlement in territory during their journey to Upper California, 1845.
