Summary
Village on east side of Hudson River about 50 miles south of Albany. Population in 1840 about 300. Halsey Cook wrote to JS from village requesting copy of Book of Mormon or Doctrine and Covenants and description of Nauvoo, Illinois, and its inhabitants, 20 Mar. 1843.
