Located on the corner of Parley and Carlin streets, the shop manufactured window sash and doors and took on other custom carpentry jobs. Coolidge had previously operated a cabinetry shop with John Hatfield where they made furniture, window sash, and doors; it opened in July 1841 and was located near the home of Vinson Knight.
