Summary
A dry goods store operated by Martin Howland Birge in Buffalo, New York, from October 1834 into the 1890s. The firm of Rigdon, Smith & Cowdery purchased goods on credit from the firm in June 1836. The debt for the purchased goods remained unpaid by 1842, and JS included it in his bankruptcy application.
