Warranty
Summary
A covenant or assurance that a thing which is the subject of a contract is or is not as there stated. An express warranty is a specific stipulation agreed upon by the parties; an implied warranty results from the nature of the contract. Also, the law may imply a warranty by the fact of a sale.
