This agreement made and entered into this twenty fifth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six, between of the town of , county of Geauga and State of Ohio, of the first part, and Rigdon, Smith & Cowdery of the county and State aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth: that said party of the first part for the consideration of two thousand one hundred dollars to be paid by said party of the second part as follows, (viz.) five hundred dollars to be paid by the first day of May next, five hundred dollars in one year from that time and the residue in one year thereafter, with interest on so much as shall remain due or unpaid, on the first day of May in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven, binds himself, his heirs, executors administrators and assigns to give said party of the second part, a good warrantee deed of the farm on which he now lives, it being the same as deeded to him in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty four, by Josiah Jones and Mary Jones, reserving only such parts thereof as is now conveyed by agreement either written or verbal to , Chauncey G. Webb, , , & [blank] Harris Jr and the full and peaceable possession of the buildings on the said farm til the first of May next together with all the crops now growing on said farm, also the privilege of pasturing and keeping thereon his own cattle, horses or other stock, until the first of May aforesaid, at which time said party of the first part agrees for the consideration first above written, to him, his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns to [be?] paid and secured by said party of the second part to give quit, full and peaceable possession of the premises aforesaid, together with all and singular, the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging, to said party of the second part, their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns and a good indefeasible title in the law in fee simple.
