On the fifteenth day of December one thousand eight hundred and forty two personally came before me A Morton Ferris Subscribing witness to the within Indenture, within with whom I am personally acquainted, who being by me duly sworn, did depose and say, that he resided in the said , that he knew David H Nevins and John Alstyne, the persons described in and who executed the within Indenture; that they executed and acknowledged they executed the same for the uses, purposes and considerations therein Mentioned, in his presence, and that the said A Morton Ferris Subscribed his name as a witness thereto— IN Testimony whereof, I have subscribed my name, and caused my Notarial seal of office to be hereunto affixed the fifteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two

Know all men by these Presents that I Frederick Taylor in consideration of one dollar to me in hand paide by Joseph Smith, of the City of , Hancock County Illinois the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledged have bargained, sold, assigned, and set over, and by these presents do bargain sell, assign and set over unto the said Joseph Smith his heirs and assigns for ever, as well the within written deed; as also all and Singular the land and premises within mentioned, and likewise all my estate right title interest, claim, property, and demand of in and to the same land and premises which I now have either by means of the within Indenture or otherwise howsoever— IN Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of January A. D. Eighteen hundred and forty three
