An ordinance respecting Carrion
Sec. 1. Be it ordained by the city council of the city of that all carrion be removed without the bounds of this or buried three feet under the surface of the ground by or at the expence of the person or persons owning the animal when it died & if said person or persons shall neglect or refuse to comply with this ordinance he or they shall be liable to pay a fine not exceeding Ten Dolls at the discretion of the Court, one half of the fine to go to the informer, and the other half to be paid into the City Treasury, & to be recoverable in like same mannner as fines of a like nature within this .— And if the owner or owners of such dead animal cannot be assertanied or if known, refuse to comply with this ordinance the Marshal shall cause the Animals to be removed or buried at the expense of the city corperation.
Sec 2. This Ordinance to take effect & be in force from & after its passage, all other acts to the contrary notwithstanding.—
