Be it remembered that on this 8th day of August A D 1842— personally appeared before me an acting Justice of the peace within and for the aforesaid who being sworn according to law deposes and says that on the night of the 7th inst a Larceny was committed by feloniously taking and carrying away a brass Kettle from his premises, by some persons or persons unknown but still Suspects that one Lemuel Mal[l]ory <and further the property stolen is concealed in or about his premises> is guilty of the fact charged, and further this deponent saith not
