from & after the first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight then this obligation shall be void and of none effect otherwise to be & remain in full force and virtue: all of which will more fully appear by reference to said writing obligatory and the condition thereunto subjoined
Yet the did not well <& truly> pay to the plaintiff the sum of five hundred dollars <last above mentioned> by the first day of March one thousand eight hundred and thirty forty <one> with twelve per centum interest thereon, from & after the first day of March one thousand eight hundred & thirty eight <nor [illegible] [after?] first there of> But the same to do he has hitherto wholly neglected and refused, although often requested and the same he still neglects & refuses to do. Whereby an action has accrued to the plaintiff to demand & have of the of the the sum of $2000 above demanded, yet the although often requested has not yet paid the said sum above demanded or any part thereof— to the plaintiff but to pay the same he has refused and still refuses to the damage of plaintiff $300. dollars and therefore he brings suit
