This Indenture made and Entered into, This Thirteenth day of September in the year of our Lord, one thousand eigh[t] hundred and forty two between Joseph Smith, as sole Trustee in trust, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. of the County of , and State of Illinois of the First part, and of the County of and State aforesaid, of the second part, Witnesseth that the said Joseph Smith, party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Four thousand Eight Hundred dollars, to him in hand pair [paid], the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, all those tracts or parcels of Land, situate and being in the county of in the state of Illinois known and described as follows, to wit: Lots Number one, two, three and four in Block Number one hundred and thirty. also Lots Number Two and Three in Block Number one hundred and thirty eight. also Lots Number Two and three in Block number One hundred and Twenty seven. said Lots being in the City of together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in anywise, appertaining.
To have and to Hold the above described premises unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Joseph Smith, party of the first part, his assigns and successors in office, the aforesaid premises unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
