The general theme of his discourse tended to enlighten the minds of the public concerning the powers of the Municipal Court in relation to as granted in the Nauvoo Charter, plainly proving that the municipal Court had more power than the Circuit courts inasmuch as the latter’s power was limited while that of the former was unlimited [p. [57]]
