Augt. 13th. 1842.— C[our]t. Martial, & Election of Major General.

Ct. met at ten OClock A.M.— Rank roll called.

The Committee &c. presented a Bill for an ordinance to be entitled “Ordinance No 3.”— which was rec[eive]d, & read at full length, it was then ordered to be, & was read by seperate Sections. & acted upon as follows, to wit:

Sec. 1.— was read, & discussed by , , , , , , , & others A motion was taken to strike out the part referring to a Committee, which was lost,— the Motion was put & the Section passed generally.—

Adjourned at 2 OClock for half an Hour.— Court afterwards assembled at 1/2 past two, & the Election Commenced.— there was 55 votes for Gen[era]l. , & 43 for Genl. , Election closed at about half past three OClock. P.M.—

, , , , & were elected <​by vote to be​> a the Committee of five, by Vote, to whom all questions of practicability are to be referred.—

It was <​resolved​> by vote, that the <​Quartermaster General of the​> Court organize the Arms shall be, & he <​is​> hereby ordered, to call in all Arms belonging to Companies, which are in the hands of Officers, and that he give them to the Companies they belong to. [p. [1]]
