I took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in the stead thereof, and the rib which I the Lord God had taken from man made I a woman and brought her unto the man, and Adam said, this I know is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called woman because she was taken out of man. Therefore shall a man leave his Father and his Mother and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh. and they were both naked the man and his wife and were not ashamed. And I the Lord God spake unto Moses saying, that Satan whom thou has commanded in the name of mine only begotton, is the same which was from the beginning, and he came before me saying, behold I send me, I will be thy son, and I will redeem all mankind, that one soul shall not be lost: and surely I will do it, wherefore give me thine honor. But behold my beloved son which was my beloved and chosen from the beginning saith unto me Father, thy will be done and the glory [p. [43]]
