An Ordinance respecting carrion.
Sec. 1. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of , that all carrion be removed without the bounds of this , or buried three feet under the surface of the ground, by or at the expense of the person or persons owning the animal when it died; and if said person or persons shall neglect or refuse to comply with this ordinance, he or they shall be liable to pay a fine not exceeding ten dollars, at the discretion of the Court, one half of the fine to go to the informer, and the other half to be paid into the City treasury, and to be recoverable in the same manner as fines of a like nature within this . And if the owner or owners of such dead animals cannot be ascertained, or if known refuse to comply with this ordinance, the Marshal shall cause the animals to to be removed or buried at the expense of the city corporation.
Sec. 2. This ordinance to take effect and be in force from and after its passage, all other acts to the contrary notwithstanding.
