There is an entry recorded 19 February 1845 in the Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger for an order to Francis M. Edwards dated 22 August 1844 for $1.00. There is also an entry recorded 20 February 1845 for $4.50 for three orders dated 22 August 1844. There are two extant pay orders for Edwards for $1.00 dated 22 August 1844. Either of these two extant orders could correspond to either the $1.00 entry or the $4.50 entry. Edwards’s account in the ledger notes eight orders on collector dated 22 August 1844 totaling $14.00. This and the two other extant pay orders for Edwards dated 22 August 1844 likely correspond to three of those eight orders.
