There are no entries recorded in the Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger for $25.57 to James Pace dated 12 October 1844. There is an entry recorded 10 December 1844 for $15.43 to Pace dated 12 October 1844. Pace’s account in the ledger notes two orders on collector dated 10 October 1844 totaling $41.00. This pay order and the $15.43 entry in the ledger likely correspond to those two orders on Pace’s account even though the dates are inconsistent.
