There are no entries recorded in the Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger for $2.00 for orders to John Mackley dated 24 August 1844. There are two extant orders for $2.00 dated 24 August 1844. Mackley’s account in the ledger notes ten orders on collector dated 24 August 1844 totaling $23.00. This and the two other extant pay orders for Mackley dated 24 August 1844 likely correspond to three of those ten orders.
