Single sheet. Three promissory notes were inscribed on the same page in black ink; the signatures in brown ink. The page was tri-folded then folded in half horizontally for filing purposes, creating six panels. Inscribed vertically on the verso’s fourth panel is: “J. Smith Jr & others” in the handwriting of Lord Sterling. It is unknown when the Lake County Historical Society acquired the Lord Sterling Papers.
