ENROLLMENT.
In conformity to an Act of the Congress of the , entitled An Act for Enrolling and Licensing Ships or Vessels to be employed in the Coasting Trade and Fisheries, and for regulating the same,” Capt Having taken or subscribed the oath required by the said Act, and having sworn that and are Citizens of the , and sole owners of the Ship or Vessel called the Maid of Iowa whereof is at present Master, and, as he hath sworn is a citizen of the , and that the said Ship or Vessel was built at in the Territory of Iowa, in the year 1842 as appears by her Enrolment dated at May 23 1843, and now surrendered, change of property

And the said Enrolment having certified that the said Ship or Vessel has one deck and no mast and that her length is One hundred and fifteen feet her breadth Eighteen feet four inches her depth three feet and that she measures Sixty 17/95 6017/95 tons; that she is a steamboat has cabin above Plain head and Transom stern
And that the said having agreed to the description and admeasurement above specified, and sufficient security having been given, according to the said Act, the said Steamboat has been duly enrolled at the Port of .
