Thursday July 4th. mad my morning report as usuel of the regiment then went on the prairie and got a load of grass, met at 6 O Clock, addressed by acting major on the subject of being still and quiet & say but little. James Persons gave 38 sovrens for the benifit of the Legion to buy provisions while on duty &c— I went the grand rounds in company with during the night
Friday 5th.nothing of importance Legion met at 6½ O Clock for guard
Saturday 6th. Recd. letter from Legion dismissed except police
Sunday 7 all provisions put into the hands of the Bishops for the poor
