Know all men by these presents that I of the County of and State of am held and firmly bound to Joseph Smith of the and aforesaid in the sum of One thousand dollars for the payment of which well and truly to be made I bind myself my heirs, and assigns firmly by these presents
Now the condition of the above obligation is such, that if the said shall well and truly perform the office of agent to collect funds for building the in this place, and shall make just and true returns of all monies and properties he may receive for building the as aforesaid and faithfully pay over said monies or properties to the said Joseph Smith without delay then this bond to become null and void, otherwise to be, and remain in full force and virtue
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at the City of this thirteenth day of April A. D. 1841
