the cases over to the next court he would agree to it. The States Attorney proposed to put over the three cases and go to trial on the other cases, but he () refused to put any over unless he would put all the cases over. The States Attorney not being ready to go to trial he finally agreed to put all the cases over to the next court. The bail on every case is clear and no longer holden, and they need not appear any-more unless they have a mind too.
He then stated that there are several families in about perishing for food. He named two or three families who are suffering. They are sick and have nothing to eat and he mentioned the circumstance that the council might take the matter into consideration. [p. [358]]
On 24 April the Adams County Circuit Court agreed to continue the cases against the four Mormons charged with larceny over to the next term in September.
