The people say that their is so little original matter conserning our faith or local intrest excetping [excepting] the passing acts of the city council— that they do not feell to subscribe for our Paper— The fact is the People here <are> looking for something quite different <from> us than from other people— because of the different relation we bear to the world from other people;
In Stead of reading funny ancedotes and laughable tales they want something about and its inhabitants its population ◊◊◊ its busyness its oppertunities its machiniery <and> all the thousands of pa[r]ticulars that pertains to the Place and the Surrounding Country and the particular incidents that transpire there— Understand me dear Bretheren these statement are not designed on my Part to dictate to you the things that Pertain to your busyness and calling I mearly suggest to you as others suggest to me for I know that you know your own busyness for I never no never on all my experience in this glorious cause of the kingdom of God ever more clearly beheld its beauty and order and propriety than I do at this time and especially the propriety and consistency of all the members of the body (the Church) quietly submiting to the head— there fore I can truely say that my spirit feels reconciled to my lot and the duty duties enjoined on me in this ministry— my faith this morning seems to take hold on something this <is> good for the cause of truth as though there was something in the providence of heaven that was something about to transpire soon that will give a [p.
