North by Kimball Street, and containing one acre of land be the same more or less. Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said William Richards his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and Nancy his wife, their heirs and assigns, the aforesaid premises, unto the said William Richards his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In testimony whereof, the said and Nancy his wife of the first part, have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year first above written

I clerk of the Mayors Court of said in said , do certify that and Nancy his wife, whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed, and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, and who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Nancy Winchester having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed, and examined separate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her said . In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal of said corporation this 22nd. of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty-four.

Hancock County Aug. 1, 1843. Know all men by these presents, that I and his wife of , Hancock County State of Illinois have this day for and in consideration of one hundred dollars to them in hand paid by of the same place, this day granted, bargained, sold unto the said , a certain parcel of land, or lot of ground being situated in the South East corner of Lot number three (3) in Block number three (3) of s addition to , described as follows, commencing at the South East corner of said Lot, thence running north about twelve and a half rods, to the center of White Street, thence West along the center of said Street about seven rods intersecting Robinson Street, thence South along the center of said Street twelve and a half rods, thence East seven rods to the place of beginning, containing about Eighty four rods be the same more or less, together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to have and to hold the above described premises, unto the said his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and his wife their heirs and assigns the afforesaid premises unto the said his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
