Examined by me seperate and apart from her said and the contents of the said Deed being fully made known to her upon such seperate examination declared that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith. In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and placed my seal this twenty third day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four

This Indenture made and entered into this second day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four between and Elizabeth F. S. his wife of the county of and state of of the one part and of the county of and aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said and Elizabeth F. S. his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the county of in the State of Viz:— The North half of the South East quarter of the South West quarter of Section Twenty in Township seven North and Range Eight West of the fourth principal meridian in the county of aforesaid being a part of the same tract patented to Edmund Holt by James Monroe President of the containing twenty acres be the same more or less Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever And the said and Elizabeth F. S. his wife their heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises unto the said his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Testimony Whereof the said and Elizabeth F. S. his wife of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above Written

S. his wife whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in and who executed the same did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Elizabeth F. S. Law having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed and examined seperate and apart from her said acknowledged that she had executed the same and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed Voluntarily freely and without compulsion of her said
