Administrator’s Sale!
ON the FOURTH DAY OF MARCH, 1862, between the hours of 2 and 3 o’clock P.M., in the town of , Lake County, Ohio, at the door of the Court House, will be sold to the highest bidder the following real estate, as the property of Joseph Smith, Jr., deceased, to wit: Situate in the township of , in Lake County, Ohio, and is the same land conveyed to said Smith by Samuel Canfield, by deed dated October 1, 1836, and in said deed described as follows, viz:
Known as parts of lots number twenty-one, forty-one and forty-two, as deeded to Samuel Canfield, and is bounded as follows, viz:
Beginning in the center of the highway lately laid out, on the north line of lands deeded to Samuel Canfield— thence west sixty-six rods to a post— thence south fifteen rods to a post— thence south fifty-eight degrees east nineteen rods to the lot line— thence south along the lot line eight rods to a post— thence east parallel with the north line sixty-nine rods to the center of the highway bounding on the centre of the highway northerly to Mr. Young’s north-west corner— thence west eight rods to a post— thence east thirteen rods to the highway— thence northerly bounding on the center of the highway four rods north and south to the place of beginning, containing thirteen acres of land subject to all legal highways,
and to the dower of the of said Smith therein. Appraised at $243 58.
Also the following premises: Situate in said , deeded by , to said Joseph Smith, Jr., by deed dated the 4th day of January, 1837, and therein bounded and described as follows viz:
known as part of lot number thirty and bounded on the south by land formerly owned by Isaac Moore, beginning near the northeast corner of said Moore’s land, in the center of the road leading from to , and running west on the north line of said land twenty-two rods— thence north seventeen rods to a stake marked number one— thence east to the west line of the lot owned by the Methodist Episcopal Society on which their Meeting House stands— thence south to the southwest corner of said Society’s lot— thence east to the center of the road before mentioned— thence southerly to place of beginning, containing one acre and one hundred and fifty-four and a half rods,
subject to the dower interest of the . Appraised at $325 00. Terms of sale, cash in hand.
